  • DOL Master

    For the last three months I’ve attended the “Diploma On Line” of “Politecnico di Milano”, a post graduate course for teachers about new technologies.

    It’s a nice experience and I’m fixing my ideas how the new way of technolgy is supporting teaching.

    My work always brings me to internet and e-learning experience and doesn’t let me stop a while for thinking about it.

    I’m doing this course exclusively on line and it’s a nice opportunity to reflect.

    Each week I have to prepare a work to upload on the forum as result of my study.

    This week the goal is the production of a Video about DOL.

    That’s my work

    I borrowed some scenes from “Blu Man Group” spots for this video, they are really great.
    It’s and would be only an exercise.

    I hope you enjoy it.

    IMS - ePortfolio

    IMS Consortium

    An IMS Global Learning Consortium Project Group Under Formation is focusing on ePortfolio requirements. The IMS ePortfolio specification v1.0 was released in June 2005. Since this time valuable experience has been developed working with the specification and ePortfolio technology and practice has matured. The IMS ePortfolio PUFSIG is seeking input from the e-learning community to help focus and prioritize the effort .

    If you are interested to promote your broad areas of interest in ePortfolio take here a survey

    IMS GLC and the PUFSIG participants are keen to encourage your participation in this use case gathering process, both so that your organization is aware of this open profile and prototype effort and, as a result of this wider consultation, greater interoperability can be achieved with less proprietary extensions to the specification(s)

    How you can read at IMS Site, there are many activities currently underway in IMS/GLC.
    These include Project Groups, Meetings as well as Developer Network and Learning Industry Leader Forum activities.

    Current IMS GLC Project Groups

    * Common Cartridge Alliance
    * Content Packaging
    * Question and Test Interoperability
    * Enterprise Services
    * Learning Tools Interoperability
    * Learning Object Discovery and Exchange
    * Accessibility
    * K12/Schools Enhancements to Common Cartridge
    * Service Oriented Architecture
    * Talent Management

  • To address the opportunities presented by the next generation textbook, IMS GLC has formed a Project Group Under Formation Special Interest Group (PUFSIG) on Dynamic Instructional Content Exchange (DICE). The initial purpose of the DICE PUFSIG will be to develop use cases and end-user requirements for a dynamic, digital substitute for the traditional student textbook. This effort will require defining current models for digital content distribution across the higher education environment to ensure the resultant DICE specification has the broadest application for higher education and digital content providers.

    The initiative, leveraging the IMS Common Cartridge technical specification (www.imsglobal.org/commoncartridge.html), will provide the development and distribution framework for DICE and enable enhanced student learning, increased access to learning resources, and cost reductions to students and content providers.

    To indicate your interest in participating in the DICE PUFSIG, send an email to jfalchi@imsglobal.org indicating name, organization, title, and how you wish to contribute by 15 January 2008.
