Today I wish to start reading a book.

So I’m going to look for some reviews about some books written by other readers.

I’ve found two interesting and (maybe because amazon has bought the fisrt service that I’ m going to describe) amazing ones.
You can read it in the following lines

Shelfari is the premier social network for people who love books.
Create a virtual shelf to show off your books, see what your friends are reading and discover new books - all for free!

Shelfari

Shelfari lets you build a shelf to display the books you’ve read, want to read or are reading now. Then you get to be the critic by rating and reviewing your books so your friends can see what you think.

Connect with your friends to see which books you have in common, what they’re reading or what they think of the books they’ve read. Ask your friends for book recommendations or create a group where you can talk about your books.

aNobii helps you discover books you may like and catalog the ones you own.

aNobii

In ANOBII you can:

* Discover and subscribe to others’ shelves
* Create and share your own shelf effortlessly
* Make your own wish list
* Compare prices across different Amazon sites
* … and more

Introducing Ubiquity for Firefox

The experiment in connecting the Web with language.

Ubiquity’s goals are to:

Empower users to control the web browser with language-based instructions. (With search, users type what they want to find. With Ubiquity, they type what they want to do.)

Enable on-demand, user-generated mashups with existing open Web APIs. (In other words, allowing everyone (not just Web developers) to remix the Web so it fits their needs, no matter what page they are on, or what they are doing.)

Use Trust networks and social constructs to balance security with ease of extensibility.

Extend the browser functionality easily.

  • Jooce.com your desktop online

A startup service called Jooce gives you a private online desktop where you can keep all your files and folders.

Jooce will let people who can’t afford to buy a PC store personal settings and programs on computers they don’t own.

Jooce users will have soon access to word processing applications too.

The team is in the early stages of development.

A jooce word processing application is one of the projects on the development schedule - along with many others.

Take a look it’s really interesting
