I would want to add one consideration about the password managment policy that I read on Silverstripe discussion forum were I found a light approach at the problem.

I find interesting the approach of other development team, for an example joomla, that support their job using the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) web application security system to categorize security vunerabilities found within their CMS.

Imagine a computer that never crashes, or gets infected by a virus. Imagine a computer onto which you never have to install any application.

Imagine a computer that follows you wherever you go, be it at school, at work, abroad, or back home. This computer does not exist today, but it will in the future, and this future might be much closer than you think.

The programming model for web-based user interfaces called AJAX and a killer application for it — Gmail — are bringing new life to this concept.

The idea is pretty simple: use a generic web browser and a set of online services to provide all the functionality needed by a computer user, removing the need for any application to be installed on the computer itself. I call it Office 2.0.

The Google Teacher Academy is a FREE professional development experience designed to help K-12 educators get the most from innovative technologies.

Each Academy is an intensive, one-day event where participants get hands-on experience with Google’s free products and other technologies, learn about innovative instructional strategies, receive resources to share with colleagues, and immerse themselves in an innovative corporate environment. Upon completion, Academy participants become Google Certified Teachers who share what they learn with other K-12 educators in their local region.
